Hi pl help. I bought total nsc of 30,000/- in 2000 and 2001 – took loan of 15,000/- assigning these nscs to a cooperative bank. I was abroad from 2002 to 2010. I dont have photocopy of numbers of the certificates nor I remember from where I purchased them. I remember the branch of the coop. bank from where I took loan.I approached them now – they say given us photocopy or certificate numbers or exact date of taking loan, which i dont have. they are saying they have tried to locate but can not find. Is there any way out or my money is gone.
Anyone can pl help -I will really appreciate.
You MUST provide at least some documents to bank to prove like loan documents. If they fail to provide you details, use RTI to get solution. Also, for future, stop dealing with co-operative banks and always have photocopy of documents, whenever you’re giving originals to bank.
